(More customer reviews)First the limitations: You cannot get sound out of both your desktop speakers and the A-250 at the same time, and the wireless connection is only about 85% reliable, even within its advertised range of 30 meters. Sound cuts out if there are too many thick walls between the transmitter and the speakers. Also, other electronics, microwaves, and my 2.5 GHz cordless telephones can interfere with the signal to the A-250.
If you can tolerate these limitations, then you can consider the great pleasures of the A-250:
-- Easy set-up. It honestly took me three minutes to get sound from my XP system using RealPlayer to the A-250. You plug in the transmitter to a USB port, press the blue button on top of the transmitter for two seconds, put batteries into the speaker unit, and then turn it on.
-- Very good sound. For a wireless system, the A-250 produces very good, albeit not very loud, sound. When the signal is strong, the sound is better than FM though not as good as wired, of course.
-- Simple controls. From the A-250 you can pause, play, skip a track forwards or backwards, and control the volume.
-- Works with my Palm Zire71. Saitek includes a 3.5mm jack, which when plugged into my Palm, played sound well through the A-250.
-- Fast support. I emailed Saitek regarding the limitations, and someone wrote back within a day to tell me that the limitations are not surmountable.
Summary: If you don't mind playing sound only out of the A-250 in a different room with few walls between it and your system, and if you don't mind imperfect sound, then the A-250 is for you. I will keep mine, since I can tolerate these limitations and I love my music on the deck and in the kitchen.

I generally use the SD10 with my iPhone 3GS and i love the fact that my phone stays with me and i can still play music from it from a reasonable distance.
If you can afford it, it's a lovely extra you might want to invest it.

(More customer reviews)I bought this speaker because I wanted to play music from my iPhone wirelessly while retaining high quality sound. In that respect, I am not disappointed as the sound is very rich with plenty of bass and clear mids/highs. I was concerned that the bluetooth transmission would introduce artifacts/digital distortion, but I can't hear any.
My only complaint is the iPhone pairing which can be a bit finicky, especially when you switch between different iPhones. It will either take a few seconds for the music to start or you will need to press the connect/reset buttons.

Creative Inspire S2 Bluetooth Wireless Multimedia Speaker System Review

(More customer reviews)These speakers are great. The audio quality is spot on for their price and size. And they'll get loud... really loud... without distorting. The subwoofer puts out great beats, and has a bass level potentiometer on the back. I've connected these speakers to my desktop via the included Bluetooth dongle. I plugged it in and Windows (7) installed the software in a matter of seconds, requiring nothing from me besides turning on the speakers. I also have them paired with my phone (MotoDroid) and my Bluetooth enabled laptop. Pairing was problem-free with both of those, I just have to push the button on the Bluetooth dongle to disconnect them from my desktop first. Also, I can have music playing off of my desktop using the speakers while using my Bluetooth headset to talk on my phone, all within about five feet of each other, and there's no interference or troubles. Overall, I would suggest these speakers to anybody.

I tested the D100's and found them not to handle all types of music well but the D200 handles anything I throw at it. Sounds almost as good as my home theater set up. Handles, highs, lows, and mids equally well. Very easy to connect. Hasn't lost signal for me yet. Highly recommend.

I got this product to use with my Creative ZiiSound D5 Bluetooth speakers. The speakers sound very good -- BT-D1 USB transmitter has excellent sound quality because it uses the apt-X codec over Bluetooth. The setup is so close to perfect: I don't need a cable between the computer and the speakers, which makes it easy to place the speakers wherever I want in the room, and the sound quality is indistinguishable from a wired connection (to my ears, anyway).
The one major drawback is that you cannot control the system volume with this thing. I have a Macbook Pro, and the volume control buttons no longer have any effect. Well, that's not completely true -- the volume buttons make the volume meter on the screen move up and down, and the computer still makes the little clicking sound each time you press a button, but they don't actually change the volume. You can't even mute the system by pressing the mute button, nor can you mute it by checking the mute check box in the Sound preference panel.
This isn't just my imagination -- the Creative website itself says (in an obscure way) that this is how it is works with the ZiiSound D5 speakers. To control the volume, you have to control it through each application, or through the touch panel on the speakers. Both of these are inconvenient in their own way. If you want to control it through the applications, then you have to set the volume on the speakers at the maximum level you would ever want, and reduce the volume on every application you use. This includes every web page that has some sort of sound through a Flash application. Many Flash applications (like games) don't let you control volume at all! And it is impossible to change the volume of the system alert sounds!
So then you have to reach over to the speakers and control the volume there -- but I have them placed out of arms reach, which means I have to stand up and walk over to them. After all, that's why I got wireless speakers in the first place, so I could put them anywhere without having to worry about where the cables would go. So think about that: it is impossible to control the volume of many things (including system alerts) or mute, without walking over to the speakers and using the finicky touch panel to control the volume.
Oddly enough, the BT-D1 seems to allow volume control with some other Creative speakers, namely the Inspire S2 Wireless, and the D200. The D100 and ZiiSound D5 don't allow you to control the volume for some strange reason. I have no idea why Creative lets you control the volume on their middle-range speakers, but not on the flagship (the D5) or lowest-end speakers.
Also, it is possible to control the volume of the D5 speakers using the iPod transmitter module (BT-D5) included with the speakers. So why not with the BT-D1 USB transmitter as well? It makes no sense. I'll probably send it all back and go back to my previous wired setup. Even though it's wired, it's more convenient, and I'll save several hundred dollars.
