The LED lights are ok, but make for poor dome light replacements. The resolution is average, with picture quality being better than expected.
For the price, this is one of the better displays available.

Some might say I have become less productive because I have to rely on quantum chance to interact with the computer, as my logitech wireless elite camo-shoes have no pc interface (not even PS/2 !!!). To that, I say NONSENSE, don't make me stab you with these killer threads.

M Wireless Rain Gauge (TX6700) Review

(More customer reviews)I had one of these guages in the past and loved it. It quit sending messages to the base unit for rain. I couldn't find a source where I could order another one from a sight that I thought was safe. I ordered another guage that was terrible. You couldn't read the screen from more than 10 inches away and there were so many modes to set that I couldn't keep them straight. I finally found a safe sight thru amazon sold by antonline. Thank God and I got me another Timex tx6700. It just tells me what I want to know, temp. and rain fall. This is the only one I will ever buy again.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this model based on the features and price. The picture quality is very good. FM transmission to the stereo works well, but interference can be bothersome. The IR transmission to the headphones works well. Installation is fairly straight-forward.
The problem came about 1 week after installation. The dvd player began skipping. When I opened the lid and removed the disk, there was a 2 mm groove circumferentially around the outer margin of the disk about 1 cm from the edge. I didn't see anything in the player, so I put another movie in and the same scratch pattern appeared. Looking more closely at the optics, there is no cover over the laser reader unlike other models that show the "sony" cover. This may just be a defective item, but I'm not taking the chance. Fortunately amazon customer service allowed for return of the item. It's disappointing that what would otherwise be a good product has a major flaw.

(More customer reviews)Don't know what the person below is talking about --- this unit is meant to be wired directly into your factory or aftermarket head unit via RCA plugs --- NOT FM modulation! That being said, the unit can also be wired via the CD changer port located on the back of most head units, or via FM modulation (wired or wireless). However, the best sound quality comes from either the RCA or CD changer interfaces. FM modulation (wired) will give reasonable sound quality if you live in suburbia or rural areas --- if you're an urban dweller, however, you may be subject to a little or lots of static. So, if you're willing to shell out the money for this unit, then be willing to fork over a bit more to ensure you have the BEST connection interface.
Aside from all that, installation of this is a breeze. Even if you've never installed anything in your car before -- or have no xp with car stereos, you WILL be able to handle this yourself. Of course, be prepared to spend a day investigating the nether regions of your car's dash/console if you want all the cords/wires to be hidden.
Overall, this is the best ipod integration solution on the market if you want to have full functionality. Those other solutions -- like icelink, iCruze, etc. limit how you can browse your songs, albums, artists, etc. Most even force you to make playlists for browsing. The only real alternatives to the Harmon Kardon, in my opinion, are some of the new CD decks w/ ipod adapters that offer nearly full functionality (Alpine, Pioneer make some good ones....though this route will cost you over $200)
One last thing, if you do opt to have this professionally installed, make sure whoever is doing it has some xp with ipod/car integration. Some "pros" at both Circuit City and Best Buy had absolutely no clue that this could use the CD changer port on my Scion tC factory head unit and tried to tell me that my only option was either a new CD deck that was compatible or to use FM modulation --- which really would have decreased the sound quality.

The screen is like what Ipod userssee on their Ipod. There is a backlit LCD screen which mounts on the dash so the driver never takes there eyes off the raod to control the Ipod. The product can be hooked using an audio aux in, an FM wireless transmitter, or an optional FM transmitter.

(More customer reviews)The DVD players are sturdy and offer dozens of functions not found on OEM systems. The guts of the DVD players are clearly marked Sony. The tan head rests are well constructed and they match the leather in our Navigator. They play DVD-Rs and Video CDs with no issues. Movies can also be watched from a thumb drive or an SD card in several different digital formats. Some MP4s will play, others won't. The head phones have two channels and work perfectly with either DVD player. Video quality is surprisingly good, especially after changing the default setting of PAL to NTSC. Basic functions are on the front of the DVD player, but advanced functions require you use the remote control. The 32 BIT games are for children over 10. The 8 BIT games (optional) are old 1970-1980s arcade favorites and the younger kids love them.
Installation was easy taking about 90 minutes to do a professional level job. The pre-installed Power and Video/Audio-Out line runs down one post of the head rest while the Video/Audio-In line runs down the other post. The cables dropped through the back of the seat and were easily routed down the side of the seat and beneath the center console (comepletely out of sight). I removed the back panel of the center console where I connected the Video/Audio cables and tapped off of a cigarette lighter power cable for the 12VDC. The cables are very long giving you all kinds of cable routing options. End result was an OEM style DVD system that costs $1000 less.
