Disappointed with the sound quality of this item. Cheap construction and it cuts out even at close range. If you touch the receiver, it screws up the signal for a while. Spend a few more bucks and get a better one. I rarely use this one now....

This microphone does the job!....great sound, easy to set up, and haven't had a single problem with it! I certainly don't get any "extra noises" from this microphone as I ever did with a wired microphone! It doesn't pick up every single "puhhhh," "sssssss," or "plunk" when touched or tapped. I'm very happy with it....Only thing though, I recommend getting rechargable batteries...as you'll need to have an extra pair or two if playing long shows as do I....usually 4 hours plus. Most batteries and brands last a good 4-7 hours....but sometimes it just seems that some brands don't last as long as the others...cheaper in the end to just buy the rechargable ones....it doesn't take long...and they last a good while!
Thanks Shure for making such a wonderful microphone!!! Will certainly stay with company forever!

Shure WH30 Condenser Headset Microphones Review

Shure WH30 Condenser Headset Microphones

I purchased the Shure WH30 condenser Headset Microphone because I was tired of using company supplied mics. The shure product has work very well. The mic is positioned nice for me the headband is sweat absorbent. Getting it to fit my head was not a problem. It is a bit heavier than the cheaper models supplied by the gym I work at but not enough to bother me.
Though a little pricey it is robust so I have no worries about longevity. I would recommend this product

I am not totally impress with the performance of this microphone. Even when I adjust the gain to the lower dB, it still have some distortion at high frequency input (like the singer with high pitch voice). Other than that, it's good to have wireless and no antena to worry about. It's a compact unit. It would be nice to have an on/off switch rather have to unhook the power cable every time to turn it off.

This is a great wireless mic! I have used this mic in a room for 130 people and a much larger venue for 1,000 people and the mic performed perfectly! I also use another Shure wireless mic (ULXS24/SM58 type head) and I have not noticed a sound quality difference yet. The BETA 87A head is supposed to be better and that is why it is more expensive. I'm sure it is... but I have not noticed a huge sound difference yet! Nevertheless, I'm very happy with both mics! I also use a set of 4 mics from a cheaper brand and although the mics have a solid metal body, the mics tend to drop off sound 4-5 times during a typical use of one hour. The Shure mics are definitely worth the bigger price as they have NEVER dropped off once!

Audio Technica Freeway 200 Series VHF Handheld Wireless System
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This mic is good for general purpose use. I would avoid using it for long periods of time (1H+) because unless you are using Duracell batteries it will die. There are a few issues with the mic regarding sound quality, occasionally it does drop out and create massive static buzzing, it also rarely makes a loud popping sound. The range on this mic is excellent, I have been at 300 yards with no issues. This mic has a tendency to deepen voices, it sounds very clear even in a poor acoustic setting. One downside is the lack of an XLR type connection on the back, however if you use quality short length cabling to connect it to your mixer, it will sound fine. Overall, a quality product at a cheap price.
